Detroit Style Pizza Dough

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Combine bread flour, warm water, sugar, instant dry yeast, and salt.
  2. Mix, rest 30 mins, then fold into a ball.
  3. Place in an oiled container, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Oil a Detroit-style pan with 1 tablespoon crisco.
  5. Stretch dough into the pan, let rise 3 hours, then press to fill edges.
  6. Let rise an additional 5-6 hours until bubbly.
  7. Bake plain dough at 450°F for 8 minutes. Cool completely on a rack.
  8. Add cheese, sauce, toppings. Bake at 500°F for 10-12 minutes. Broil 2-3 minutes for crispy edges.
