Detroit Style Pizza Dough
Ingredients
- 200 grams bread flour
- 136 grams warm water
- 5 grams sugar
- 1.5 grams instant dry yeast
- 5 grams salt
Directions
- Combine bread flour, warm water, sugar, instant dry yeast, and salt.
- Mix, rest 30 mins, then fold into a ball.
- Place in an oiled container, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- Oil a Detroit-style pan with 1 tablespoon crisco.
- Stretch dough into the pan, let rise 3 hours, then press to fill edges.
- Let rise an additional 5-6 hours until bubbly.
- Bake plain dough at 450°F for 8 minutes. Cool completely on a rack.
- Add cheese, sauce, toppings. Bake at 500°F for 10-12 minutes. Broil 2-3 minutes for crispy edges.
